Working Away is a research project supported by the University of Melbourne, Western Sydney University, and the Australian Research Council that will help to understand how mobile work is transforming Australian homes

How Australian households cope with the personal and family pressures when one partner works away from home for days, or even weeks, at a time is poorly understood. This project, running between 2016-2020 will provide important information about how mobile work is transforming Australian homes. This information is needed by a range of policy and industry stakeholders involved in the provision of welfare services and workforce planning and training to optimise the experience of mobile work for employees and their families.
